Ant and Dec ‘broke the internet’ in a bid to win their 17th National Television Award for Best Presenter.
The Geordie duo made a last minute plea to fans to vote for them over their rivals ahead of tonight’s ceremony.
They tweeted: “Less than 24 hours to vote for all your favourites at the @OfficialNTAs. Vote closes at noon tomorrow.”
But fans struggled to cast votes as they flocked to the site, causing it to crash, according to the Daily Star.
One user tweeted: “I can’t access the website to vote..... what am I doing wrong? (sic).”
Another posted: “The NTA website isn't working to vote x.”
