Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have narrowly avoided interacting with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, while both couples were holidaying in the south of France recently.

Brooklyn, 27, skipped his family’s annual holiday on their private yacht for the second year running amid an ongoing feud between him and Nicola, 31, and his parents.

Instead, the couple were seen joining Elton John, who is Brooklyn’s godfather, on his yacht on the coast near Nice while David and Victoria holidayed just 75 miles away in St Tropez.

It comes after Brooklyn appeared to take a series of digs at his family in an advertisement for DoorDash, a US food delivery service, which aired during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

In the advert, he seemed to refer to his family drama as he smirked at the camera and said: “You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home... It's a long story.”

The advert also featured a stack of unopened letters from home that appeared to allude to Brooklyn’s refusal to speak to his family.

The Beckham family feud began in early 2025 but had been bubbling away since Brooklyn and Nicola married in 2022 in a lavish wedding ceremony that is believed to have cost up to $3 million.

It has continued to cast a dark shadow over David and Victoria, who have reportedly not spoken to their eldest son since at least January.

Their relationships deteriorated significantly after Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David’s 50th birthday celebration last May.

Then in January, Brooklyn posted a lengthy six-page statement on Instagram announcing he had cut ties with his parents, brothers and sister completely.

Writing on Instagram, the aspiring chef accused David and Victoria of giving a distorted version of events, adding that he had been “silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private”.

“Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth,” he continued.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Brooklyn added: “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Shortly after the statement was posted, David appeared to address Brooklyn’s claims during a live appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box, in which he spoke about the “dangerous” influence of social media.

“What I’ve found personally, especially with my kids as well, is using it for the right reasons,” the former England captain said.

Sir David added: “They make mistakes — but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids.”
