Mitt Romney arrived in Colorado today after days of intensive preparation for his first debate with Barack Obama, which takes place in the city tomorrow.
The Republican presidential candidate needs a good performance in the televised showdown to regain momentum after a series of polls showed him lagging behind the President.
Mr Romney has spent eight days preparing, holding mock debates with a party colleague, Ohio Senator Rob Portman, playing the role of Mr Obama. Meanwhile the President joined advisers at a desert resort in Nevada for three days of preparation. Tomorrow’s debate, on domestic policy, takes place at the University of Denver.
