Marc Berg has been named as the new CEO of Europe’s largest taxi hailing app.

Mr Berg succeeds Andrew Pinnington as leader of Hamberg-based ride hailing company mytaxi.

The move will come into effect from April 16 and comes after Mr Pinnington successfully merged Hailo, Clever Taxi and Beat.

Mr Berg was previously CEO and DACH of online payment services company the Klarna Group.

Stephan Unger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Daimler Financial Services Board Member said: “I am happy to have found an experienced strategist and digital executive in Marc.

“I am confident that Marc will further build on the enormous growth the company has seen over the past year and to further shape the organisation to become a global player in the mobility space.
