Japanese student posts amazing video of 'miracle' paper plane throw

A video of a paper plane being thrown by a Japanese student has become an internet hit.

The impressive footage shows Ikuya Hara's plane remaining airborne for 24 seconds - and returning to him after he threw it from a windo.

His efforts were hailed as "miraculous" after he tossed the handmade plane from a balcony in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The 24-second clip sees the plane dip and soar before it boomerangs back to the student who grabs it with glee before celebrating in front of the camera.

Since it was posted on Twitter the video has received nearly 64,000 retweets and has been liked more than 75,000 times.

One user replied: “It’s a miracle!!”

A second video shows a paper plane nosedive straight to the ground after it is thrown from the same window.
