Briton dies after night out in Ibiza

A second British holidaymaker has died in less than a week in Spain’s Balearic Islands.

Christopher Briggs, 25, was found dead after a night out in San Antonio in Ibiza.

Investigators believe he fell and hit his head after returning to his room alone. A post-mortem was due to take place this morning.

Police were called to the two-star Apolo Hotel on Sunday morning when Mr Briggs’s roommate found him lying on the floor next to his bed.

A friend told local Civil Guard officers he became separated from the dead man during a night out. He said they had drunk heavily but insisted they had not taken drugs.

Last Thursday Londoner Thomas Ousby, 19, fell to his death from the ninth-floor of a hotel in Magaluf.
