At least 16 people have died after a hot air balloon caught fire and crashed in a pasture in Texas.
A local sheriff's office said there are thought to have been no survivors after the balloon crashed near the central Texas city of Lockhart today.
The US Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the crash had happened about 30 miles south of Austin.
Lynn Lunsford from the Federal Aviation Administration said the accident happened shortly after 7.40am, adding that there were at least 16 people on board.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that investigators were working to determine the number of victims and their identities.
Ms Lunsford said that the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board were en route to the scene to investigate the crash.
