Sceptical six-year-old writes letter to Father Christmas: 'Your life is empty'

A sceptical six-year-old wrote a letter to Father Christmas at school in which he said: "your life is empty."

Instead of telling Santa how good he had been this year, the jaded young boy revealed a rather cynical attitude, according to an image of the letter shared online.

Described by his mother as a "Santa sceptic", the boy wrote that he was "only doing this for class" and told Father Christmas, "I know your naughty list is empty".

Sarah McCammon shared an image of her son's letter on Twitter, which he decorated with festive wreaths... and skulls.

He wrote: "Dear Santa,

"Santa I'm only doing this for the class. I know your naughty list is empty.

"And your good list is empty. And your life is empty.

"You don't know the troubles I've had in my life.

"Good-bye. Love, I'm not telling you my name."

His mother was quick to clarify her son's "troubles" in a follow-up tweet.

She wrote: "PS - the 'troubles' in his life? His brother. Don't call child services."
