A host of Hollywood stars have auditioned to become Stephen Hawking’s new voice in a hilarious Comic Relief sketch.
Liam Neeson, Rebel Wilson and Eddie Redmayne are among the stars lining up to provide a new voice for the legendary scientist in the clip, to be aired on tonight’s show.
Professor Hawking said: “I felt it was time for a voice upgrade so I asked Comic Relief to help me out – I probably shouldn’t have bothered, as these celebrities are a right bunch of jokers.
"I’m pretty happy with my new voice though, I think it’ll give my lectures a bit more oomph.”

The sketch begins with Liam Neeson persuading the scientist why his voice is best, before a string of stars including Stephen Fry, Anna Kendrick and Andrew Lloyd Webber make a case for themselves.
