This is the touching message – and £5 note – left on an ambulance by a mystery neighbour as paramedics responded to a trauma call.

The East Midlands Ambulance Service crew had been treating a patient in Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, when it returned to the heartwarming note and fiver.

It read: “You blocked my drive. But it doesn’t matter because I wasn’t going out anyway. Enjoy your day – buy a coffee.”

It comes after an angry motorist who blasted East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics last month for blocking his driveway.

The Good Samaritan's note was in stark contrast to this message East Midlands paramedics received last month East Midlands Ambulance Service

The disgruntled resident, from Leicester, had left a note on the vehicle reading: “You blocked my driveway. I waited 45 minutes for you to move. Please have some consideration where you park an ambulance! This is not the first time.”

The service said its crew was “upset” by the complaint.

But it was much happier with the mystery note in Pinchbeck, which was deposited on Sunday.

The service posted on its Facebook page: “Lincolnshire Paramedic Julie Wade and Emergency Care Assistant Catherine Whitehouse were attending a patient in Pinchbeck, near Spalding yesterday when they had a #Bluelighthappy moment.

“The crew were attending a trauma call, when they left to take the patient to the ambulance they were greeted with this #EMAZING note.

“Unfortunately, the crew never managed to get their coffee due to being too busy, however they are looking forward to getting one on their night shift tonight.

“Thank you to the kind person who left this note, we appreciate it.”
