Mr Warncken also praised the professionalism of staff at Gatwick, noting that the “overwhelming” evidence helped them to secure a swift conviction.
He added: “This case demonstrated the professionalism of Gatwick officers and detectives to gather overwhelming evidence, which meant Maunder and Lyons had no choice but to plead guilty in court.
“The case also highlights the importance of vehicle owners to do their homework and check the reputation of vehicle meet and greet parking companies.”
The pair were spared jail time after being slapped with a suspended prison sentence, and also forced to pay £3,000 each to the Toyota Rav 4 car owner.
Both were also disqualified from driving for over a year each, with Maunder also ordered to complete 120 days of alcohol abstinence.
