Man rushed to hospital after being hit by bus in Kingston, south west London

Police, ambulance workers and the fire brigade attended the scene at a Kingston bus station shortly before 5pm on Monday.

The man's condition is unclear, and no arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate.

A Met Police spokesperson said: " Police were called to Fairfield bus station in Kingston at 4.41pm on Monday, 29 June to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a bus.

"Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended and the scene and the pedestrian, a man, was taken to hospital. We await an update on his condition.

"The driver of the bus remained at the scene. No arrests. Enquiries continue."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called today (29 June) at 4.44pm to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian at Fairfield Bus Station, Kingston.”

"We dispatched a number of resources including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and our hazardous area response teams (HART), with the first of our medics arriving within three minutes.

"We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
