The heartbroken parents of student Libby Squire have made an emotional plea for help finding her nearly four days after she went missing.

The heartbroken parents of student Libby Squire have made an emotional plea for help finding her nearly four days after she went missing.

A desperate search is under way for the 21-year-old who has been missing from her home in Hull since Thursday night.

In the statement released on Monday, Libby's mother Lisa Squire said: "It's breaking my heart not knowing where you are."

Her father, Russell, described his daughter as "our kind, thoughtful, beautiful girl, who is loved by so many people".

He appealed for people to come forward with any information "no matter how small or irrelevant it may be".

"We just want you home," he added.

Lisa Squire's voice broke with emotion as she spoke about her daughter.

She said: "Libby, my darling pie, we just want to know that you are safe. Please get in touch with us any way you can.

"The whole family is missing you, especially me and your dad, your sisters and your brother.

Miss Squire's parents issued the statement through Humberside Police as officers scoured a waterway and searched bins and drains near her home.

The University of Hull student, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was last seen by friends getting into a taxi outside music venue The Welly in Beverley Road at 11pm on Thursday.

Police said she was then helped by a motorist who pulled over after spotting her on the street.

The man has since contacted police and has "really helped out" with the search, the force added.

Miss Squire was last spotted on CCTV in Beverley Road, near to the junction with Hayworth Street, at around 11.45pm on Thursday.
