Thousands of gamers in the UK have reported problems accessing the PlayStation Network.
More than 6,000 reports were logged by Downdetector shortly after midday on Friday (July 24).
Users have reported having difficulty signing in and connecting to online services.
The technical issues lasted into the afternoon with little reduction in the volume of reports received by Downdetector by 2pm.
They dipped to around 4,500 by 2.20pm but then shot up again to 6,300 at 3pm.
More than half (52%) of the reports logged in the UK were about server connection issues, with another 29% relating to logging in.

There was no official word from Sony on the technical issues by 3pm.
One UK user wrote on Downdetector: "Can't load any digital games at all bought or free. Can't connect to servers to verify licences, doesn't matter what i try to load i get the same message every time."
Another wrote: “Some workers defo let an animal into the servers and it keeps flipping the switch on and off again.”
A Downdetector heatmap shows a large concentration of reports coming from the London area.
It comes after Sony announced earlier in the month that it will no longer be releasing any physical PlayStation games from January 2028.
From then, new PlayStation games will only be available via the PlayStation Store and at retailers in “digital formats”.
