Davis, who played Sinead O’Connor in the Channel 4 soap from 2010 to 2019, told her followers that she is “focused” on getting better.

The 28-year-old was rushed to hospital on Thursday last week after testing positive for coronavirus.

She has since used Instagram to keep her fans updated on her health.

In her latest video, the mother-of-one said: “I’ve woke up starving and I can’t wait to be able eat again.

“Covid has been absolutely horrific.”

The actress added: “Today or yesterday was the worst day yet. I’m just focusing on getting better. But thank you for all your messages. It really means a lot. I’ll let you all know when I’m feeling a little better.”

She signed off her post urging the public to “stay safe” and told them to wear their mask and wash their hands.

It is not known which variant of coronavirus Davis has contracted but cases of the Delta variant, first found in India, have been dominant in the UK.
