A batch of Doritos' flavoured crisps has been recalled amid fears they could be a "possible health risk" to customers with allergies or food intolerances.

The Food Standards Agency is behind the decision, while Doritos has issued a warning to customers not to eat the product.

PepsiCo, which owns the brand, has recalled the batch its Doritos Chilli Heatwave bags as some were filled with Tangy Cheese crisps.

Tangy Cheese snacks contain milk and the ingredient is not listed on Doritos Chilli Heatwave bags, meaning a potential health risk for people with dairy allergies.

As milk allergies are the most common childhood allergy, customers have been urged not to consume the product.

The 140g packs with the batch code GBC 209 184C and the best before day of December 5, 2026 have been marked by the Food Standard Agency for potentially containing the wrong ingredient.

Anyone who has purchased the product may return it in store and collect a full refund.

The Food Standards Agency said: "This product contains milk, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

"PepsiCo is recalling the product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

"The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."

Anyone concerned they have may have bought one of the faulty crisp bags can contact PepsiCo Consumer Care Line on 0800 274777.
