Nearly 10,000 people have died in hospital in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Department of Health said the latest figures showed a total of 9,875 Covid-19 patients had lost their lives since the start of the outbreak.
The figures, which are the total as of 5pm on Friday, are up by 917 from 8,958 the day before.
One of those who died was aged 11.
Earlier, NHS England said the death toll among coronavirus patients in hospital had risen by 823.
The new figures brought the total number of deaths in the country to 8,937.
Patients were aged between 11 and 102. Out of the 823 patients, a total of 33 had no known underlying health conditions. They were aged between 29 and 94 years old.
Five NHS trusts in England announced at least 200 coronavirus-related deaths to date, four of which are in London.
NHS Scotland said a total of 542 people who tested positive for coronavirus had died, a rise of 47 on Friday’s figure.
Across the country, 29,903 people have now been tested for Covid-19, with 5,590 testing positive.

In Northern Ireland, there were a further 15 reported deaths, taking the toll in the country to 107.
NHS Wales has yet to announced the country's figures.
The figures from the Government and the individual NHS bodies are collated differently.
In terms of testing, the DoH also said a total of 334,974 tests have been carried out in the UK as of 9am on Saturday, including 18,091 tests on Friday.
Of the the 269,598 people tested, 78,991 have tested positive for the illness.
