A man has died after being hit by a train at South Croydon station on Friday afternoon.
Paramedics and police sped to the scene at just after 1.20pm on Friday following reports a person had been struck by a train.
British Transport Police confirmed the man had died. His age is not yet known.
Officers are now working to establish the man’s identity and tell his family what has happened.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious, BTP said.
Southern Rail said trains between Purley and East Croydon are currently facing delays and cancellations because of the person being hit by a train.
