Commuters faced delays this morning after vandals “senselessly” defaced 16 trains at a Hertfordshire depot.
Police hunted along train lines for suspects after Great Northern staff discovered the damage just after 4am.
The search sparked delays on services running to and from King's Cross station.
A spokesman for Govia Thameslink, Great Northern's parent company, said the graffitied trains were still able to run but passengers faced delays and some stops were missed out to speed-up services.

He added: “This was senseless vandalism that could have injured the criminals and delayed some of our passengers heading for work this morning.”
British Transport Police have been contacted for a comment.
