West End theatre tickets now available to purchase through Amazon

West End shows: tickets to 48 productions are now available to book through Amazon Local

Theatre-goers can now purchase tickets to West End shows such as Les Miserables, The Book of Mormon and Stomp through Amazon.

The online retailer has announced it will be taking on the likes of Ticketmaster and Groupon by launching into West End ticketing this week.

Millions of tickets to all of London’s West End shows can be purchased through or the Amazon Local app.

Customers can browse all of the available dates and timings for their chosen show, before selecting the best seats to suit their budget.

Geraldine Wilson, general manager at Amazon Local UK, said: “Amazon Local has become a one-stop destination for the very best in entertainment, dining, travel and beauty experiences across the UK.

“The West End is a British institution, and now, our customers can choose from any show and book in just a few clicks, enjoying the glitz and glamour of London’s West End, all bookable in less than a minute.”

A total of 48 shows can be booked through Amazon including bestsellers Phantom of the Opera, Billy Elliot, Jersey Boys and Cats.
