Samsung looks to have changed its mind over when to unveil the Galaxy S9.
The smartphone was strongly rumoured to make an appearance at CES in January 2018.
But it now seems that the handset won’t be shown off at the Las Vegas tech trade show after all.
As reported by Korea Herald, a spokesperson for the company has responded to the rumours by saying: “It is unlikely.”

A January launch for the S9 would have been an early unveiling compared to previous Galaxy phones.
This year’s Samsung Galaxy S8 was revealed at the end of March, and was made available in the UK on April 28.
The new Galaxy phone is thought to be an ‘incremental’ update to the S8, offering a largely similar design but with improved features.
The S9 is expected to move the fingerprint sensor to a new spot just below the camera on the back of the handset.

The larger S9+ is thought to sport a dual backwards-facing camera, and will feature more RAM than the standard S9.
No official announcement has been made over when the phone will be unveiled.
