Viewers hit out at Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan after he quizzed Labour leadership hopeful Owen Smith about his sexual prowess.
The politician, who some Labour MPs hope will replace Jeremy Corbyn, was asked on live television whether he had ever tried Viagra, the drug that helps men perform during sex.
Mr Morgan asked if Mr Smith had ever tried or tested any of the pharmaceutical products of Pfizer, the US pharmaceutical giant he previously worked for as a lobbyist.
Mr Smith replied coyly: “That’s for me and Mrs Smith to know about.”

The awkward exchange sparked outcry on social media, with users branding Mr Morgan and co-presenter Susanna Reid's line of questioning “vile” and “shameful”.
Later in the interview Mr Smith described himself as “like a Duracell bunny” in his eagerness to take on embattled leader Mr Corbyn.

He also admitted being embarrassed that as a BBC journalist he once called 999 to get a police response to a story.
Meanwhile, Mr Corbyn faced a grilling of his own as he faced Theresa May in PMQs for the first time, with the new premier accusing him of being an "unscrupulous boss".
