Political rivals Lord Buckethead and Count Binface have clashed in the prime minister’s constituency of Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
The fringe candidates took centre stage as the election count got underway, with Boris Johnson not expected to be whisked from Downing Street to the west London constituency for some time.
Independent Count Binface, played by comedian Jon Harvey, told the PA news agency: “If I get a big fat zero that would be a record. I wouldn’t mind it.”
Mr Harvey was seen mocking Lord Buckethead, gesturing a thumbs down behind his back and shouting “Fake news”, and singing the US national anthem.
The two personas vied in front of cameras at the Uxbridge count, Boris Johnson's seatPAHe previously ran as Lord Buckethead in Theresa May’s constituency in 2017, but cited “an unpleasant battle on the planet Copyright” as the reason behind the character shift.
Someone else took on the Lord Buckethead costume, prompting an intergalactic clash in front of the media and amused rival candidates.
When asked to stand together for a photo, Lord Buckethead said: “We are going to violate some serious intergalactic treaties.”

Jo Murphy, the Evening Standard's political editor, jibed: "Perfectly normal scene at British elections. What? You mean you don’t do this in your country?"
Count Binface has been critical of the Prime Minister on a number of issues, hitting out at “his get-Brexit-oven-ready-microwave nonsense”, but he did promise to treat the Conservative leader with respect should he meet him.
