The owners of Whiteleys, property investment fund Meyer Bergman, hope the redevelopment will breathe fresh life what was once one of the three great pioneering “palaces of retail” in central London, alongside Harrods and Selfridges.
Architects Foster and Partners said the scheme will "rejuvenate" the area, adding: "the proposed development will restore Whiteleys to the centre of a rejuvenated Queensway and replace a failed shopping centre with a location that will be used daily by local residents and tourists, revitalising the area."
