An enormous flat bed lorry caused traffic chaos near Westfield Shepherd's Bush during this morning's rush hour when it became stuck across several lanes.

The huge vehicle, carrying heavy construction equipment, was stuck across all three eastbound lanes at around 8.15am.

Uxbridge Road is completely blocked outside Shepherd's Bush station.

Long delays were reported after the lorry got stuck

There are warnings of severe delays on surrounding roads.

Commuters described scenes of "absolute mayhem" at the junction.

Onlookers described how the cab was "completely wedged" against the kerb unable to move backwards or forwards.

Buses serving Shepherd's Bush are currently on diversion and delays of up to 40 minutes are being reported.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
