An alert over an unexploded bomb sparked a mass evacuation at Victoria station during this morning's rush hour.
Armed police were at the scene as thousands were ordered out of the both the Tube station and mainline rail station.
Images on social media show people streaming out of the station with a heavy police presence outside.
Scotland Yard ordered the station evacuated due to an "unexploded device" on a nearby building site.

The Met tweeted: "Officers are in attendance at a building site on Terminus Place, SW1 following the discovery of what is believed to be World War 2 ordnance."
The Tube station and mainline rail station were reopened shortly before 10.15am as the incident was stood down.

A Transport for London spokesman said they evacuated the station at the Met's request and were in the process of putting buses on diversion when the incident was declared a false alarm.
Passenger Jason Ng told the Standard: "I just arrived at London Victoria train station and was about to get a tube as my usual routine.

"They only told us 'Victoria Tube and bus station is now closed and evacuated, move out of this area as soon as possible' without telling us what happened."
