A points failure is disrupting Southern train services through London this morning, according to National Rail. The issue means some lines are blocked, affecting services between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction. Disruption is expected to persist through to midday.
Southern and Elizabeth line hit hardest
Meanwhile, a tunnel closure near Heathrow is causing severe delays on the Elizabeth line between the airport and Hayes & Harlington. Major disruption is expected to last until the end of the day, with services cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes. Passengers are being advised to use the Piccadilly line or London Overground services if travelling to Heathrow or central London.
Multiple lines affected across network
Reduced service is operating on two London Overground lines due to driver shortages. The Windrush and Mildmay lines are affected until around 3pm today, impacting services between Stratford and Richmond and between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon.
The District line part suspension has been lifted following an earlier trespass incident at Richmond, but severe delays remain between Wimbledon and Edgware Road while TfL deals with a fire alert. London buses are accepting valid tickets via any reasonable route.
Severe delays are also reported on the Bakerloo line due to train cancellations. London Buses, Lioness line, Thameslink and London Northwestern Railway services are accepting tickets via any reasonable route.
A fire alert at Woodford has suspended the Central line between Woodford and Epping & Hainault via Grange Hill. Minor delays continue on other Central line sections due to train cancellations. A tree on the track at Enfield Town has suspended a section of the Weaver line between that station and Edmonton Green.
