A father-of-four was back performing roller skating tricks in his local park just two weeks after being discharged following life-saving coronavirus treatment.
Clayton Jean-Charles, 55, a plumber from Greenwich, was taken to University Hospital Lewisham on April 11 after he began “hallucinating” with symptoms of Covid-19.
He was moved to the intensive care unit when his condition worsened, and put on a continuous positive airway pressure machine — which delivers air through a tight-fitting mask.
After almost three weeks in hospital, Mr Jean-Charles, who has four daughters, was able to go home on April 29 to his wife Barthola.
Within a fortnight, he was back rollerskating in Greenwich Park, a hobby he took up a year ago.

"They treated patients with such compassion and care, it was so inspiring.
"I sent a short film of myself roller skating to the staff who treated me to say thank you.”
