A 52-year-old woman who was stabbed to death in Shepherd’s Bush has been named by police.

Officers were called to an address on Askew Road at around 8.20am on Tuesday, August 18 following reports of a stabbing.

A woman, aged 52, was pronounced dead at the scene.

She has since been named by police as Samantha Turner.

Her family have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.

A second woman, aged 32, suffered non-life threatening stab injuries. She remains in hospital and continues to be assessed.

A murder investigation was launched, and a man was arrested at the scene.

Alan Dore, 48, of Askew Crescent, Shepherds Bush, was charged on Wednesday with murder and attempted murder.

He will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
