This mattress crammed into a cupboard under the stairs could be yours for £500 a month – just mind your head.
Alex Lomax shared these pictures on Twitter after allegedly viewing the flat, in Sisters Avenue, Clapham.
“I have literally just been shown a bed under the stairs for £500 a month,” she wrote. “F you London!
“Actual bed under stairs like Harry Potter – for £500 pm?!”
She linked to an advert on the london2let.com website that lacks a picture.
The landlord, Dan Smith, says he is “looking for a friendly, open-minded and outgoing person to join our houseshare in a great period house in Clapham”.
He adds that the housemates are “not really looking for somebody that just wants to stay in their room”.
The listing concludes: “Room comes with a bed. Bills to be shared – approximately £60 per month each.”

As well as a bed, the room appears to come with a selection of winter coats, a crate and some Daz washing powder.
Ms Lomax’s photos suggest it has no windows and is still in use as a cupboard.
Harry Potter was famously made to live in a cupboard under his aunt’s stairs after his parents died, although not even he was expected to pay £6,000 a year plus bills for the privilege.
