A London Marathon runner who dressed as Big Ben for the race and got stuck under the finishing arch has smashed his fundraising target after the mishap went viral.
Lukas Bates, from Maidstone in Kent, wanted to break the Guinness World Record for the fasted marathon time dressed as a landmark.
At the end of his race, he had to be helped across the line by a race volunteer, because the costume he made of what is officially called Elizabeth Tower, was too tall.
He posted a time of three hours and 54 minutes, a little short of the current mark of three hours, 34 minutes and 34 seconds.

The 30-year-old aimed to raise £1,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK and Dementia Revolution after experiencing the effects of the disease first hand.
One grandmother died last year, and the condition is still affecting his other grandmother, who is coping with this condition at her home in Bath.
