Warner Bros announced that its biggest Harry Potter retail outlet in the United Kingdom will open on 4 November. The flagship store occupies more than 21,000 sq ft across two floors at 134‑140 Oxford Street, within the new Ribbon development.
The launch is expected to attract a significant number of visitors from Canada and the United States, with travel agencies in both countries already listing the shop as a must‑see stop for fans travelling to Europe.
Inspired by Diagon Alley, the new venue becomes the second official Harry Potter shop in the UK after the one at King’s Cross Station. Highlights include a Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon towering over the Gringotts section, a full‑sized Knight Bus, and The Leaky Cauldron wizarding pub where guests can enjoy food and Butterbeer.
"Following the success of our Harry Potter shops around the globe, opening the Harry Potter Shop in London is a truly special milestone," said Karl Durrant, senior vice‑president of worldwide retail at Warner Bros. He added that the store aims to bring the magic back to the city where the story began and to create a destination that celebrates the franchise’s enduring appeal.
The Oxford Street shop will join Warner Bros’ existing Harry Potter experiences in London, including the Warner Bros Studio Tour, The Making of Harry Potter, and the King’s Cross shop. Oxford Street itself sees around half a million visitors each day, making it one of the world’s busiest shopping districts.
