Firefighters were called to a blaze at a row of houses in north London on Thursday morning.

Up to ten fire engines attended the fire at Moss Hall Grove in North Finchley which was reported at 10.37am.

The fire brigade said the blaze had spread across a row of four terrace houses on the ground and first floor of the block. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage and was extinguished at 12.55pm.

A picture provided by the London Fire Brigade showed the roof of the terrace block smouldering and seriously damaged following the blaze. Two of the properties suffered severe damage while a third was largely destroyed. There have been no reports of injuries.

Seventy firefighters from stations across Hendon, Southgate, Mill Hill, Hornsey and surrounding fire stations attended.
