As part of their investigation, officers found a device and neighbouring homes were forced to be evacuated as a precaution.The road was cordoned off after the find at about 7.35am as officers carried out enquiries for around two hours between Cavendish Road and Bonneville GardensIt was later discovered the item was a replica grenade.The cordon has since been removed and a Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said the incident had been stood down.A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and remains in custody.MORE ABOUTClapham CommonMetropolitan Police
