Revellers were evacuated from busy pubs as flames ripped through a shop and flats in a north London high street.
Fire engulfed a three-storey building in Jamestown Road, close to Camden High Street, just after 10pm on Monday, London Fire Brigade said.
Dramatic images posted on social media showed fire crews desperately work to tackle the blaze as smoke billowed above buildings close to the iconic Camden Market.
Police taped-off part of the tourist hotspot as crews in four fire engines attempted to extinguish the blaze which also damaged several flats.

“As far as I know no one got hurt. Everyone is safe.”
Witnesses took to Twitter to discuss the blaze.
One user wrote: “Fire in Camden. Be careful. Hope everyone safe.”
Another added that “there was a lot of smoke” before the shop “burst into flames”.
Aaron Kennedy wrote on Facebook: “Camden High Sreet closed massive fire near the lock old bill fire ambulance everywhere.”
London Fire Brigade confirmed no one was injured in the blaze.
