A teenager is in hospital with serious stab wounds after a fight broke out in an exclusive Bloomsbury square.
The 18-year-old may have life-changing injuries, police believe.
Scotland Yard said it received reports of men fighting in Argyle Square at about 1.45pm on Monday.
London Ambulance Service sent air ambulance medics to treat the injured man, whose age and condition could not immediately be confirmed.
Scene: Police have shut Argyle Square while they investigate Toby/@thetobskToby/@thetobskThe helicopter landed in nearby Gordon Square, by University College London.
Teaching fellow Andrew W M Smith (@smidbob) tweeted: “There’s a first! A helicopter just landed in Gordon Square outside @UCLHistory.”
Police closed Argyle Square, which is owned by Camden Council, while they investigated. No one has been arrested.
The man's condition is described as serious but stable.
