Police today appealed for help to identify a man left critically injured in hospital after apparently falling and hitting his head in the street.

The man, described as stocky and with a shaved head, was found collapsed in Regent’s Park Road, Finchley shortly after 11am on Friday.

He was not carrying any form of identification and Scotland Yard today released a photograph of the man in hospital, saying all other efforts to identify him had proved fruitless.

He has a large scar from his navel to his chest, possibly from heart surgery, and numerous tattoos, including one going up his left arm and onto his chest with skulls and a face.
