A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing on a busy high street in Peckham.
The victim, a man in his 20s, died after he was found with stab wounds in Peckham Rye on Friday afternoon.
Police had been called to reports of an altercation in the street.
Paramedics fought to save the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene in Rye Lane, near to the junction with Blenheim Grove, shortly before 4pm.
He was sixth person to be stabbed to death in just six days on London’s streets.

The 22-year-old will appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Pictures emerged on social media showing police and paramedics swarming Peckham Rye soon after the stabbing, which took place in front of horrified shoppers.
