A young woman has been taken to hospital after a hit-and-run crash.

The pedestrian, in her 20s, was knocked down by a moped in Old Kent Road in Walworth at about 5.30pm on Monday.

Police are trying to trace the driver of the bike, who did not stop.

The woman was treated in the street and then taken to hospital after injuring her leg in the crash.

Police confirmed her injuries were not life-threatening.

The road was closed near the junction with East Street for about an hour but has since reopened.
