A serving Met officer will appear before magistrates charged with the harassment of a woman, Scotland Yard has said.
PC Gary Chant, attached to the Central West Command Unit, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
The alleged offences involve a woman known to him.
The officer was arrested on 5 November 2023 and bailed pending further enquiries by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
He has been suspended from duty pending the outcome of court proceedings.
