A 22-year-old man is due to appear in court today after a police officer was knocked down during a chase.
Unemployed Michael Femi Adenibi, of Pembury Close, Hackney, is accused of causing grievious bodily harm to the female officer following the incident in Hammersmith Broadway, Shepherds Bush, on October 3.
He also faces charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, having no driving license as well as no insurance.
The officer was hit after trying to stop a car which had mounted the pavement as it sped away from police cars outside Hammersmith police station, according to reports.

Police said the officer’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening but she is thought to have broken her leg and suffered concussion in the incident.
Hammersmith and Fulham police said the officer was a member of its police force.
Adenibi was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates Court today.
