A second teenager has been charged following the death of a 15-year-old boy in Hackney.

Brayan David Saldarriaga was found with stab wounds on May 25 following reports that a fight at a house party had spilled onto the street. He died at the scene.

A 16-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, was charged on May 29 with murder and possession of a bladed article and appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court the following day.

On Monday, a 17-year-old who also cannot be named was charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

He will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Saldarriaga’s next-of-kin continue to receive support from specialist officers.
