The first pictures of a 60-year-old man who was killed in Dagenham have been released as a third person is charged with his murder.

Stephen Goodman was found with fatal injuries in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called following reports of a fight at the junction of Ford Road and Broad Street at around midnight on Sunday.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Goodman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friends have paid tribute to Goodman online.

One Facebook user wrote: “A friend who you know could either make you lol or make you cry but he was always 100%, the friend you needed love to you.”

Connor Coveley, 23, of Dagenham, has been charged with his murder.

He is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Two other men were arrested at the scene.

The 26-year-old and a 36-year-old, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
