Police are deploying a “heightened presence” in a north London park after a teenager was sexually assaulted.
The woman, 19, was attacked by a man while walking in Cherry Tree Wood, East Finchley, at about 5pm on Monday.
Detectives from the Met’s sexual offences unit are investigating and no arrests have been made.
Barnet police tweeted: “We are aware of community concerns re incident in #cherrytreewoods - ongoing investigation in relation to a serious assault.
“Police presence will be heightened in the area. It is not appropriate to comment further as ongoing investigation.”
The attack came two days after a woman was dragged from the street and raped in nearby Finchley Central.
