A boy aged 15 has been stabbed near a parade of shops in south east London.

The teenager was attacked in an alleyway in Cambridge Avenue, Welling at around 9.30pm on Monday.

Photos from the scene show both entrances to the alley cordoned off by police, with tape stretching across access points near a Co-Op store and an off licence in The Green.

The victim took himself to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich where his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: “On Monday, July 28 at 9.27pm police were made aware of a stabbing in Cambridge Avenue, Welling.

“Met officers attended the scene after a 15-year-old boy self-presented at a near-by hospital. His injuries were confirmed to be non-life threatening or changing.

“A crime scene has been put in place while officers investigate the circumstances.”

It comes as a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after two men were fatally stabbed at a business premises in south London.
