For AW19, Alessandro Sartori, Zegna's artistic director operated as a menswear master-at-arms, with clothing that moved in terms of colour, silhouette, texture and variety. Key colours were aubergine, khaki, plum, green and grey. Key fabrics included cashmere, nylon, suede and wool. As for key pieces, puffa jackets, coats and combat trousers popped up frequently – all draped on the most diverse casting of models across the Milan shows. A truly magnificent showing that set the bar for every other brand that came after.
