Having gone through a Jennifer Lopez period, which basically consisted of wearing larger-than-life gold hoop earrings and crop tops (circa 2001), I find this question difficult to answer objectively. On the one hand anything larger than 6cm in diameter is risky territory and heavily dependent on the rest of your outfit and the general ‘bigness’ of your personality. But then, who am I to judge if you want to rock something mahoosive? To be on the safe side, opt for earrings that are a little more understated, like this dainty pair by Maria Francesca Pepe.
