It all stacks up well. There’s just one problem – that extra off-road prowess comes at a price; even in basic 1.4-litre petrol guise, the Scout costs £32,330. Our test car was almost £36,000. That’s far too much for a car that, in standard Kodiaq SE trim, does pretty much everything the Scout does, for a far cheaper list price. If you need the ability, it’s a good choice, but for most, the standard car will do just fine, and save a fortune.
