Using their own locks, long-haired women across the globe have been showing their support for beards by arranging their hair across their chins to look like the real deal.

The trend surfaced on Reddit this week, with users taking to the platform to display their hairy creations, which often contain many complicated braiding techniques.

The craze comes just weeks after men took to social media to show their support for the festive ‘glitter beard’ trend.

But rather than the wiry, wispy beards you might see on guys on the Tube on a daily basis, these female beard artists' creations are more like the type of facial hair an ancient dwarf, Elven warrior or a mighty wizard might sport.
