Parisian fashion brand Jacquemus just opened a very chic café

Jacquemus, the palm-sized handbag brand loved by Kendall Jenner, has opened a cafe in Paris.

In a collaboration between Simon Porte Jacquemus and Caviar Kaspa, Cafe Citron opened today in Paris's Instagram utopia Galeries Lafayette. If you've never been, the city's stunning luxury shopping arcade crowns the top end of the Champs Elysées, an area synonymous with the City of Light's luxury scene.

Designed by Bjarke Ingels - the man behind Silcon Valley's campuses - the concept cafe/restaurant is a clean, light and airy space featuring millennial pink terracotta decor and a charming lemon olive grove set up. Think mismatching tables, odd chairs, shelves stacked with glass art pieces and oodles of lemon trees. Essentially, Riviera chic for the demands of the Instagram generation - which is, incidentally, a good way to describe the Jacquemus' AW19 collection aesthetic.

The menu is Mediterranean at heart, with products sourced from some of the city's biggest names: confectionery comes courtesy of A La Mère de Famille, calories (AKA bread) from famed boulanger Anthony Courteille and additional produce from Les Vergers St Eustache.

The menu features plenty of dishes that are hot in the Parisian culinary scene right now, including creamy burratta served with beef heart tomatoes (it's basically the new Caprese salad) and a fayet and Marseille-style pissaladière.

Masterminded by pastry chefs Cédric Grolet, Jeffrey Cagnes and Anthony Courtiells, the signature cake to devour is this candied lemon bonanza. See, all of those lemon trees make absolute sense now.
